In July 2018, the councils of the Town of Windsor and the District of the Municipality of West Hants voted to consolidate. Through this collaboration and the creation of a new, unified regional government, we will be able to ensure the viability of our communities and create a stronger region.
We know how important it is to our community members that we get this right. That’s why we are taking a number of steps in fulfilling our responsibilities, including many opportunities for public engagement.

The Public Hearing for the application made to the UARB to determine the council size and the polling district boundaries for the new Regional Municipality begins on Monday, June 24th at 9:30a.m. in the Sanford Chambers. As the Board did not receive any requests to speak at the evening sessions for the above noted matter the evening sessions have been cancelled and removed from the Board schedule.
Board Hearings are open to the public and you may participate in the Hearing in one of the following manners:
- You may speak at the hearing by notifying the Board by Thursday, June 13, 2019
- You may request formal standing as an Intervenor, subject to Board approval. This will allow you to present evidence or cross-examine witnesses. Your request must be received by the Board by Thursday, May 23, 2019, and a copy of your written evidence by Thursday, June 6, 2019

The Co-ordinating Committee meets alternately between the Sanford Chambers and the Town Chambers. The next meeting of the Committee will take place June 17 at 6p.m. in the Town of Windsor Council Chambers.
